Example (fictional data)

Two-rig drilling company. A domestic well finished at 180 ft: the driller logs formations every 20 ft, casing, grout and the yield test on his phone. Back at the office the state well log is already filled from the record; the owner reviews it, adds the permit number and marks it submitted.

How it works

For every water well, a driller fills in a well log for the state agency: where the well is, how deep it is, what formations were drilled through, how it was cased and grouted and what it yields. The information is gathered at the rig, often on paper, and typed into the state form later at the office. WellLog Pro lets you record it once, at the rig, and prepares the log from that record.

On site, the driller opens the job on a phone and records the well as the work goes: the location from the phone or the address, the depth of each formation change and a short description of the material, the casing and screen, the grout, the static water level and the yield test. Photos of the site and the finished well head can be added to the same record.

The well log is prepared on the form of the state where the well was drilled, using the fields that form asks for. Anything the form requires but the record does not contain is flagged, so the office knows what to ask the driller before submitting.

The office reviews the log, adds anything missing — a permit number, an owner's details — and submits it in the way the state agency accepts, online or on paper. Once submitted, the log is marked as done, and reminders stop.

Every well stays in your history: the log, the photos, the customer and the date. When a customer calls years later about a pump or a deeper well, you find the original record by address in seconds.

A company with several rigs sees all jobs in one place: which wells are drilled, which logs are prepared, which are submitted. Drillers see only their own jobs.

Setup is simple. You add your company, your rigs and drillers and the states you work in, and the first job can be recorded the same day. The app works offline at the rig and syncs when the phone is back in coverage.

WellLog Pro is built for small and mid-sized water well contractors working in one or a few states. Pricing is monthly per company, not per well.

Logs can also be printed or saved as PDF for the well owner, so the customer receives a copy of the record together with the invoice.

WellLog Pro is not a state agency. The driller and the company remain responsible for the accuracy of each well log and for submitting it as their state requires.
